Dear friends, 2021 is an important moment in the history of the Missionaries of Divine Revelation as it marks 20 years since our foundation. In fact, on the 11th February 2001, Cardinal Camillo Ruini, then Vicar of the Holy Father for Diocese of Rome, signed the decree that made us the Missionaries of Divine Revelation. Of course, compared to the centuries-old history of other communities, ours may seems small in comparison. However, in these past 20 years, the Lord has helped us to take giant steps, which the first seven sisters could not have ever imagined when they began this beautiful and marvellous adventure.
Everything was born from the story of the Virgin of Revelation and from our dear Mother Prisca who gave her whole life to make this story known and to spread devotion to the Three White Loves: the Eucharist, the Immaculate Virgin Mary and the Holy Father, as the Virgin of Revelation calls them.
For five years, starting from the 2nd September 2001, we carried out liturgical service at the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Revelation. We were overjoyed because the Virgin called us to carry out our mission precisely in the place where we were born.
Shortly after that we were “catapulted” into the most central and important places of Christianity. We have worked in St John Lateran’s Basilica, “Mater et caput” of all the Churches of Rome and the world, St Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, the Office of the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff, which takes care of all the public celebrations of the Holy Father. In addition, there is the whole apostolate that has opened before us in Rome, in Italy and abroad. In these years we have conducted missions to England, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Texas. There is also the gift of the Oblates of Divine Revelation, lay people who share our spirituality and who help and support us in our apostolate. How can we respond? Only by saying thank you, thank you, thank you!
In this year of our twentieth anniversary, we have decided to publish an article every month on a particular aspect of our charism and our apostolate, to share with you all that the grace of God has allowed us to accomplish in these few but intense years.
We thank the Lord and the Virgin of Revelation for all the gifts they have granted us and for the expansion of our mission, the fruit of so much collaboration and communion between us and the Oblates.
We thank you for all the affection you show us and for the prayers with which you accompany us. May the Lord and Our Blessed Mother reward you and grant you everything you need.
With much affection in the Lord, we greet you with the greeting of unity and peace, desired by the Virgin of Revelation:
God Bless Us
And the Virgin of Revelation
