Cum ortus fuerit sol de cœlo Videbitis Regem regum procedentem a Patre tamquam sponsum de thalamo suo.
The time is fulfilled, the true Sun, Jesus Christ, illuminates our entire existence. He is the true King, the King of Kings, that proceeds fourth at the head of the court of souls who have been saved and redeemed by Him. He loves mankind and each and everyone of us personally with a great love. This love is reminiscent of the love of a Spouse for his Bride.
Come Jesus! Maranatha!
Whilst we invoke Him, He is already responding with the promise that closes the Book of the Apocalypse, “Yes, I am coming soon”. (Ap20:20)
When the sun rises in the morning sky, you will see the King of kings coming forth from the Father like a radiant bridegroom from the bridal chamber.
Magnificat
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, †
my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour *
for he has looked with favour on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed: †
the Almighty has done great things for me, *
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm, *
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, *
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel *
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers, *
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.
When the sun rises in the morning sky, you will see the King of kings coming forth from the Father like a radiant bridegroom from the bridal chamber.
Concluding Prayer
God our Father, every year we rejoice as we look forward to this feast of our salvation. May we welcome Christ as our Redeemer, and meet him with confidence when he comes to be our judge, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
