Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica Tours of Art and Faith
“The Museum truly displays a continuous interweaving between Christianity and culture, between faith and art, between the divine and the human“. (Pope Benedict XVI Address to the Staff of the Vatican Museums, 23 November 2006)
The Vatican Museums has entrusted the Missionaries of Divine Revelation to deliver tours of Art and Faith within the Museum so that visitors can appreciate the religious, cultural and human beauty of the treasures within the Museums. The visit also includes St Peter’s Basilica.
It is a rediscovery of the history of the Church, and also the story of humanity that journeyed through time and in this place learned that God acts in history and reveals His wisdom to us. It is an occasion through which the Vatican Museums divulges art’s educational dimension according to a clear iconographic pedagogical programme.
The Missionaries of Divine Revelation are the official guides for the Vatican Museums ‘Itinerary of Art and Faith’ and we would be delighted to accompany you in this journey in time and history.
